analogy or irony !!

The teacher was teaching. He was teaching economics to a class of approx 200 in one of the best 'developing' countries of the world. He spoke of average per head calorie norms for rural (2400) and urban (2100) people and how more than 50% of the people of the nation had a tough time getting that. (In fact most don't get).
-
Everyone listened. But she ebulliently whispered "I have only 1500 calories" She, young and seemingly from a decent family, could not have financial compulsions to consume less that that. But it was something else, and no prizes for guessing.
-
The analogical irony is, both the people have 1500 calories but for hugely contrasting reasons. The first group can not have any more calories even if they want to and she does not have anymore even if she can afford to... and the beauty is, she is wanting to get into governance and facilitate things so that the other group can also become choosers as she is, possibly. Considering this to be true, who will decide if this wanting is out of convenience or conviction?

weired thought eh....chuck it.
